The Rabbit Mafia Crime Boss
I was just sketching a big fat rabbit in a chair, and when I got done, he sort of looked like some kind of crime boss. So I gave him some carrot muscle...
I'm sure there's a pun here that I should be using, but I can't think of one for the life of me.
I'll get this one inked sometime this week.
EDIT
I guess "sometime this week" turned out to be about 3 hours later! ;)
No shading on this one yet, but at least you can see what the color scheme is. I'll also do more with the background before it's done.

Finished Fish King
I finished up the shading on the Fish King piece.
I also kicked out a quick wallpaper version of it, which I'm using now, and thought I'd share it with you if anyone happens to want something like that.
Oh... and I've got a widescreen version too that I didn't post. If you'd like that, just let me know. It's the same exact design, just formatted for those using widescreen monitors.

The Fish King
I really have nothing else to add...
I didn't get a chance to shade it tonight, but I'll try to get to it this weekend.

Jake on a Plane - WIP
Just wanted to post a quick update on my "Jake on a Plane" piece.
You can't see it in this picture, but the Iron Sheik is about 4 rows back.

Cautionary Guy!
I've got a co-worker who worries about everything, and also happens to be big into superheroes. So I made him into one.
I'll try and get to coloring it at some point, but I kind of like it as a black and white too.

A Frog on a Blind Date
Inspired by the newest topic over on Toon Club, I pounded out this quickie tonight:
Just so you know... they actually wound up having a great time, but she decided they should just remain friends.
P.S. - If you look closely, you can make out a fly pattern on his tie.

Pinata Chips!
I finished up the Pinata chips tonight.
My wife says I should turn them into stickers.

Tailgatin'
Another chip game finished!
I've still got to finish up the five pinatas on that other game... but for now I'm off to bed!

Snake on a Plane
As in former WWE superstar, Jake the Snake Roberts.
I'll be coloring this one for sure.

Hawk Logo
I'm designing a logo for the school that my friend is a principal at. The one you see below was my first stab at it:
I've never really attempted anything like this, so I was pretty happy with it for a first effort. I'll be working on a couple of other concepts like this one and then presenting them all to him for his crew to look over.

Latest WIP
Here is a piece I started tonight. I'm trying a new technique for me, which is to paint the darks under the colors first in shades of grey and then build up the colors.
I'm a little over half done, but there is still much to do on it.
Here's a larger version so you can see it a bit better. Click the image to see it up close.

Break the Pinata
Though I still have another 5 pinata playing pieces left to create, I thought I'd show you what I have so far for my latest pulltab game:
I'll post the other 5 animals once they're finished.

Lack of Updates
Don't think for a second this is turning into one of those blogs that don't get updated any longer (you know who you are!)...
I've actually been quite busy, but don't have much to show for it. Well... that's not entirely true. The one thing I do have to show for it is a new website!
Swing on over to 3Dave.com and have a look! It's got my artwork in both 2D and 3D formats, plus junk you couldn't care less about in regards to me as a person!
There's even a fancy little shoutbox on the main page that let's you drop me a quick line to tell me what you think or to just say hi.
I've also got two more pulltab games I'm working on, and I've been running through some Maya DVDs on creating skeletons that are really sapping up a ton of time.
So lots going on, but nothing to show for it... yet!
Stay tuned!
